We exist to turn invisible decline into visible action.
Our Story
Our story starts in two very different places. For Dr. Andreea, it began with two brain surgeries, and a harder realization that came after: both her tumor and her aneurysm had been growing for a decade before anyone found them. Ten years of invisible change, building silently, with zero symptoms to warn her. For Dr. Alejandra, it began on the other side of the exam room, years spent as a physician and neurologist watching patients arrive carrying those same invisible signs, wishing there had been a way to reach them sooner.
Two different paths. One shared conviction: the brain is the most valuable asset we have, and people can be empowered, right now, with real science, to change where theirs is headed.

Dr. Alejandra is a neurologist specializing in cognitive neurology, brain health, and dementia prevention. She is a Senior Atlantic Fellow at the Global Brain Health Institute based on Trinity College Dublin and UCSF.

Dutescu Vanacker
Dr. Andreea holds a Doctorate in Economics and has spent her career doing business across more than 50 countries. She's a four-time author and global speaker, with a deep passion for brain health and neuroscience, sparked by her own journey through two brain surgeries.

As we build BrainBamboo, we are committed to make an annual donation to 1% for the Planet, with a full membership commitment as a goal for the near future.
Our donation helps power an entire ecosystem that increases funding of environmental solutions worldwide through the established model of 1% for the Planet.

Reinvesting in what comes next.
As BrainBamboo grows, a share of our profits go toward funding the next generation of neuro-tech research, the discoveries that will make tomorrow's tools even better than today's. Our annual Summit is where that commitment becomes real, including a pitch competition where emerging neuro-tech founders present directly to our community, and to investors.
Beyond research funding, our Brain Circles exist because isolation is itself a measurable risk factor for cognitive decline. Every Circle we run is, in a real sense, a small act against that risk, built for connection first, community second, growth as the outcome.
Governance:
Evidence over hype, and user data privacy.
We built BrainBamboo on published, peer-reviewed research, not trends, and we hold our own claims to that same standard. Every feature we build is reviewed against the actual scientific evidence behind it.
We also built our employer partnerships around a simple governance principle: your employer can fund your access to BrainBamboo, but never see your data. That architecture was a design requirement from day one.
